Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Signal Society is a personalized affirmation-audio practice for iPhone. Your practice is built from your own words, so we treat your content with particular care. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the Service needs, we do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who we are
The data controller responsible for your information is Pegasus Partners Ltd. ("Signal Society", "we", "us"). For any privacy matter, email privacy@signalsociety.app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. The information needed to create and secure your account, such as your email address or your Apple sign-in identifier.
- Your practice content. The words, answers, and personal statements you write during onboarding and in the app, the voice and audio options you choose, and your check-in responses. This is the heart of the product and it belongs to you.
- Waitlist and support messages. If you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Usage events. How you interact with the app, such as screens viewed, features used, sessions started and completed, and subscription-flow events. We collect these through an analytics provider (currently PostHog) under a pseudonymous identifier, to understand and improve the product. These events do not include the text of your practice content.
- Device and diagnostic data. Device model, iOS version, app version, language, and crash and performance diagnostics.
- Website. Our website uses cookieless, aggregate analytics and a first-party identifier stored in your browser to understand traffic and measure how well our marketing works. When you arrive from an ad or link, we may record campaign attribution such as UTM tags and click identifiers so we know which campaigns brought you here. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or retargeting pixels, and we do not sell this information.
Information from others
- Subscription status. When you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (for example: trial, active, expired) through Apple and our subscription-management provider (currently RevenueCat). We never receive your full payment-card details.
What we deliberately do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, health data, or browsing history. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device, so reminder settings do not need to leave it.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: build and play your personalized Signal audio, save your practice, and sync it across your devices.
- To generate your audio: the text you choose for your Signal is processed by our AI voice-synthesis provider to create the audio in the voice you selected. The generated audio is stored (cached) so it plays back reliably without re-generation.
- To manage subscriptions: confirm your entitlement, honor free trials, and restore purchases.
- To improve the product: analyze pseudonymous usage events to understand what works, fix problems, and keep the Service secure and reliable.
- To communicate with you: respond to support requests, and (for waitlist members) tell you when the app is available. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your practice content for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models beyond generating your own audio.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with:
- Service providers (processors) who process data on our instructions under contract:
- Apple (App Store distribution, payment processing, sign-in if you use Apple ID)
- RevenueCat (subscription status management)
- PostHog (product analytics, pseudonymous usage events)
- Supabase (account and application database, authentication)
- Cloudflare (website hosting, content delivery, and audio storage)
- AI voice-synthesis provider (converts your Signal text into audio)
- People you choose. If you share a Signal Key or other shareable content, what you chose to share becomes available to the person you give it to.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If your subscription lapses, we retain your saved practice so you can return to it. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, including your practice content and generated audio, within a reasonable period, unless we must keep specific records for legal reasons (for example, transaction records). Pseudonymous analytics may be retained in aggregate form.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email privacy@signalsociety.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Delete your account at any time from within the app; this removes your personal data as described in section 4.
- Notifications can be turned off in iOS Settings or in the app.
- Waitlist and marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on these bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service, including generating your audio), legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service, where not overridden by your rights), consent (waitlist and marketing emails; withdrawable at any time), and legal obligation.
7. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect (identifiers such as email and account IDs; user content; commercial information such as subscription status; usage and device data), the purposes (described above), and to request access, correction, or deletion. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. To make a request, email privacy@signalsociety.app.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses, where required) so it remains protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
